Alyssa Adams on The Eddie Adams Archive

In this video Alyssa Adams gives us a behind the scenes look into the painstaking, crucial work that goes into organizing her late husband, Pulitzer Prize winning photojournalist Eddie Adams’, photographic archive so future generations can access the history and stories he documented.

Alyssa Adams co-founded the now legendary Eddie Adams Workshop with Eddie Adams in 1988. The Workshop is a four-day-long, free workshop located in Jeffersonville, New York for 100 photography professionals who are chosen based on their previous work and portfolios. Since Eddie’s passing, Alyssa has worked with the University of Texas Dolph Briscoe Center for American History as archivist of Eddie’s body of work and related ephemera.

She is the Deputy Photo Editor of TV Guide, and the director of operations at Bathhouse Studios, a photo rental space in New York City founded in 2004.

Adams was a graphic designer for Carbone Smolan Agency and the director of photography at Miramax Films.
