For photographers, the choice of camera is personal; a certain size or style of camera can affect how we work or how the subject reacts to us. In this VII Insider session, Justin Stailey, Senior Manager of Product Development for EID North America for Fujifilm North America, presents a comparison of cameras from tiny to large, film to CMOS sensors. Justin explains the crucial differences between the most important features of film and digital cameras in order to help make more informed choices in camera selection. Justin covers camera features such as sensor sizes, different camera body types, lenses, and film. Justin also discusses the diverse aspects of Fujifilm’s business and its history of development in different technologies.

Justin Stailey is an acclaimed photographer and problem solver. He has forged relationships with top photographers in the field, representing publications such as Sports Illustrated, LIFE, National Geographic, Newsweek and TIME. Photographers have depended on his remarkable knowledge to overcome obstacles in the field and help adapt their shooting skills to rapidly emerging visual technologies. He is known as the “go to” person for all aspects of photographic solutions involving cameras, lighting, grip and remote technologies. Known as a bit of a “MacGyver,” he has an ability to synthesize disparate elements of these various photographic areas into a cohesive approach. His technical background from Rochester Institute of Technology combined with his considerable field experience makes him a highly regarded lecturer and instructor at some of the most prestigious workshops in the country.
