Photographer Camille Seaman: Inspiration through accepting who you are

Watch on Vimeo
Camille Seaman sat down with PhotoWings in 2012 to talk about her career in photography. In this video, she discusses her upbringing and the time she spent with her grandfather as a child, learning to perceive the world around her as connected and alive. She talks about how this inspired her, and the ways it informs her photography.

Camille Seaman is a well respected and widely published photographer, whose work has appeared in National Geographic, Time Magazine, Camera Arts, the New York Times, and in many others. In 2008, she presented a number of her photographs in a one-artist show entitled “The Last Iceberg,” at the National Academy of Sciences in Washington, DC. Her photographs showed fragile and deteriorating images of the arctic wilderness. Some of her work can be seen at: http://www.camilleseaman.com

PhotoWings’ mission is to highlight and help facilitate the power of photography to influence the world. We help photography to be better understood, created, utilized, seen, and saved.
