Hallease Narvaez, known simply as Hallease, is an Atlanta-based filmmaker and storyteller who discovered her love for filmmaking at 12 years old when she purchased a Hi8 camcorder with her chore money. Since then, she's documented her life as proof of the power of her existence and effect on the world. After studying filmmaking at the University of Texas at Austin, Hallease built a successful career as a video producer, director, and editor for brands like HP, Dell, and Pella. In 2018, as a YouTube Creator For Change and Adobe grant recipient, she started StumbleWell, her creative production company. In 2019, she launched Say It Loud with Austin PBS, an African American History and culture channel that grew to 100k subscribers in under 10 months. As a 2021 Adobe Creative Resident, she produced "This Coulda Been An Email," a comedy web series about two Black women running a DEI symposium. Today, Hallease produces content for clients including Ford Foundation, Target, and Spanx, while teaching filmmaking through StumbleWell.com and Skillshare.
