Watch on VimeoBrad Smith is the Director of Photography at Sport Illustrated. Previously, he was a photo editor before becoming the Director of Photography at Sports Illustrated For Kids. He followed that with a move to the White House, serving as Assistant Director of Photography for President Bill Clinton. Then it was back to Sports Illustrated where he worked as DOP at Sports Illustrated Women. He left SI to become Photo Editor for Sports at The New York Times in 2000, where he worked for more than a decade. Brad has been back at Sports Illustrated as Director of Photography for its flagship since 2013. Brad has attended nine Olympics, 19 Super Bowls, and more World Series, NBA Finals, Stanley Cups and Final Fours than he can count. He is on the faculty of the Summit Workshops, FotoFusion and the Eddie Adams Workshop (where he also serves on its Board of Directors). He is a guest lecturer with the Master’s Program at the School of Visual Arts and is a proud Florida Gator.
