Gawain Weaver – Profile
Gawain Weaver is a respected photo conservator. He shares the intentions and emotions of his clients bringing in beloved damaged photos to be restored. He also shares a concern for the longevity of today’s photographs as well as ones from the early history of photography.
Weaver is a published writer, and he is an authority on archiving. His writings have appeared in George Eastman House publications and in publications by the American Institute for Conservation (AIC). He recently opened shop in San Anselmo, California, where he has tools for professional restoration and preservation.
